I specialize in portraiture and commercial-focused photography. I built Matty Photography from the ground-up back in 2007 with a focused vision – to create truly inspiring and visually engaging photography. Matty Photography takes the professionalism of photography and makes it ring true, no overused words necessary. Heavily invested, highly skilled and experienced, taking an insightfully technical approach, and wrapping a giant bow of refreshingly raw, fluid, and innovative thinking around the whole photographic package. A polished, streamlined, matured photographic business process – all the way from conception, capture, post processing, and hand-selected print shop.

I tackle every photo shoot head-on with a car load of lighting and camera gear, ready to accomplish any photographic task. More importantly than the gear is the knowledge on how to use it. A true understanding of light and how to make it, control it, massage, bounce, color, block, cut, beautify, harden, and smooth it to create the exact composition you want. In this approach, my photographs have a “commercial” look to them, meaning a lot of know-how, time, and equipment is obviously used because the photographs have a very surreal lighting look you just don’t see naturally occurring in life. Regardless of your photography needs, this approach is applied to all of my shoots, I don’t hold back, whether it be a family, wedding, product, or fashion shoot. The same level of precise execution is conducted at every single shoot. One thing is for sure, you are going to love the photographs I take for you. All of this is provided at a very reasonable cost.
