Windy Bridge Shoot

Windy Bridge Shoot

Lisa and I ventured to an old, out of commission bridge, which connects downtown Tacoma to it’s industrial area. It’s always fun visiting this bridge, since it is closed to vehicle traffic, you can walk all over it on foot. It is a very funny feeling at first, stepping into what should be the middle of a very busy bridge, and looking up to see the busy, car-filled streets just beyond. Needless to say, the age of the bridge, countless layers of old paint, rust, moss, etc, gives this thing quite a lot of character.

Today’s weather was better than expected, precip wise, but the wind and patches of clouds racing across the sky, made lighting conditions very inconsistent. The wind alone proved to be a curse and a blessing. It can make for frustrating times for the models as they constantly are fixing clothes and hair, however, if left alone, it can make for more dramatic shots. I really enjoyed this shoot, and I am definitely looking forward to the many more shoots at this location.
