16 Nov First B-ham Studio Shoot
Yep, that’s right. My photo studio in Bellingham is up and running, ready to shoot any day, any time. I bought a couple great props for the space, including this badass lounge you see in Myrriah’s set here. I came across this lounge, never seen anything like it, had to buy it. I’m guessing it’ll be a popular request for many shoots to come. I asked good friend and model, Myrriah if I could steal a couple hours of her time to help me break-in the studio with the first shoot.
I’ve used Myrriah in quite a few shoots. I know that she’ll give me what I need in order to accomplish the visual concepts that are floating around in my head. Plus having that long working relationship together, things just come together real easily, and we pump out some good stuff. This time around I simply said “so for this I want sexy with a pinch of attitude.”
I built a rig to hold white seamless high on one of the walls, so all it takes is one tug and we have a seamless environment like you see in these shots. With a single light and a gel, that white seamless can be any color. Did very dramatic lighting on Myrriah, and I knew I can get away with this because her facial structure is very accommodating to just about any light. Hell, I could do the flashlight under the face, scaring storytelling light with Myrriah and it would probably look good…
Moved to some ringflash, hadn’t shot this style in awhile. Love that couch…
Finished it off with a little side lighting…
So… that’s it, the studio is open and ready for shoots!
